EurobioPlex Dermatophytes
The eurobioPlex Dermatophytes test uses real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification, and is designed for the qualitative detection of the six most frequently involved dermatophytes in superficial cutaneous mycosis of the skin, hair and nails: Trichophyton rubrum/violaceum, Trichophyton tonsurans, Trichophyton mentagrophyte var. interdigitale, Microsporum canis, and Epidermophyton floccosum, from a DNA extract.
