Fabienne Steens joined the EUROBIO SCIENTIFIC group in 2022 following its acquisition of her company, Biomedical Diagnostics (BMD). She leads a team of 10 people from a site located in Antwerp where BMD offers a range of specialized tests and instruments through exclusive distribution contracts, and markets the group’s specific products. ‍Fabienne Steens has more than 30 years of experience in in-vitro diagnostics and the pharmaceutical sector. After graduating with a Master 2 in Chemistry – Biochemistry and Commerce, she began her career by occupying various commercial and marketing positions within BMD Benelux. Wishing to broaden her experience, she then joined the pharmaceutical industry where she was responsible for several marketing and commercial functions allowing her to explore the different facets of the pharmaceutical market both at the hospital level, particularly in oncology, and at the extramural level, wholesalers, pharmacies, GP’s. Her last position in this industry was Sales and Marketing Director at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Fabienne Steens then returned to the diagnostics sector by becoming CEO and partner of BMD Benelux, which she acquired in 2014. ‍BMD, founded in 1986, is today a distribution company, specializing in specialized areas of in-vitro diagnostics. Under Fabienne Steens’ management, it has become a key player in the field of autoimmunity but has also developed in the field of infectious diseases, genetic disorders and the monitoring of biotherapies. In addition to its offer of in-vitro diagnostic tests, the company markets an extensive range of quality control reagents.

Markus Seifert has been Managing Director of TECOmedical Gmbh in Rheinbach since 2023.

Markus Seifert has over 30 years of experience in in vitro diagnostics. As a medical technical assistant in various hospital laboratories, he gained practical experience in laboratory management. In addition to a degree in biology with a doctorate from the University of Saarland, makrus also holds a master’s degree in business administration.

After his studies, Markus worked for 20 years in various positions in sales, marketing, product management and technical service at various companies in the field of in-vitro diagnostics.

Andrea Dell’Acqua joined the EUROBIO SCIENTIFIC Group in July 2025, following the acquisition of the Life Science and Diagnostic Division of Voden Medical Instruments S.p.A.

He currently serves as Commercial Director of the Life Science and Transplant Division at Eurobio DID. With more than 30 years of experience in the life science and transplant diagnostics sectors, Andrea has developed extensive expertise in immunogenetics, molecular diagnostics, and stem cell technologies.

Before joining Eurobio DID, Andrea spent nearly two decades at Voden Medical Instruments, where he founded and successfully led the Life Science and Diagnostic Division. In this role, he built a nationwide sales network and established strategic distribution partnerships with leading international companies such as StemCell Technologies and GenDx.

Earlier in his career, Andrea held sales and product specialist roles at Società Prodotti Antibiotici (Biospa), where he contributed to the introduction and development of HLA typing and stem cell–related products in the Italian market.

Andrea holds a Master’s degree in Biology and began his scientific career at the National Tumor Institute, where he conducted research in tissue typing and flow cytometry, focusing on the association between melanoma and HLA antigen expression.

Ettore Bergese joined the EUROBIO SCIENTIFIC group in 2023 following the acquisition of D.I.D. Spa(Diagnostic International Distribution Spa)

Ettore Bergese has almost 40 years of experience in in-vitro diagnostics, pharmaceutical and industrial market.Starting as sales agent in 1986 for PBI International as sales agent in industrial and pharmaceutical market.In 1991 he joined the D.I.D. company. Spa as North West seller for DIFCO Laboratories products.

In 1997 he held the role of area manager in northern Italy.In 2002 he held over the sales and marketing management for all of Italy, contributing over the years to the growth of the company by introducing some of the successful lines, such as Murex, Remel, BioRad and Biofire.

From 2012 to today Ettore Bergese has held the role of sales and marketing director.

Riwat has over 20 years of experience in healthcare. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals and later held various leadership positions in the commercial and marketing teams at Pfizer. After 10 years in pharma, he transitioned to the in-vitro diagnostics industry, leading the Northern Europe commercial business unit for QIAGEN’s tuberculosis portfolio.

He also served as Head of Commercial for start-up diagnostics companies, where he built and led sales and technical support teams to launch new molecular diagnostic tests across Europe and the Middle East. In his most recent role, he was responsible for launching and driving the adoption of new artificial intelligence technologies in oncology within the UK & Nordics region.

Marieluise Wippermann joined the EUROBIO SCIENTIFIC Group in 2020, following its acquisition of her own group, TECOmedical, headquartered in Switzerland. She has more than 30 years of experience in the field of medical laboratory diagnostics.

Starting as a biochemistry engineer, Marieluise Wippermann was involved in diagnostic assay development at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and the University of Hamburg, Germany. She then focused on in vitro diagnostics and held international positions at Quest Diagnostics, USA, as CEO of Chromogenix, Sweden, and Instrumentation Laboratory, Germany (part of CH-Werfen Group, Spain).

In 2000, Marieluise Wippermann founded the TECOmedical Group (Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Benelux), which has since established itself as a leading provider of in vitro test systems and as a reliable service provider to CROs as well as pharmaceutical and research institutions.

Michele Papa is EUROBIO SCIENTIFIC’s deputy country manager in Italy. He has more than 20 years of experience in management and finance in different sectors. After graduating in economics in Milan and earning a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Brussels, he specialized in finance and management in the social-health sector, working in various countries in Africa and Europe. Once back in Italy, he focused on managing technology startups, merger and acquisition (M&A) processes, and controlling.
