What are EurobioPlex products for infectious disease diagnostics?
EurobioPlex – Our Molecular Diagnostics for Infectious Diseases
We developed EurobioPlex, a line of molecular PCR tests, to help detect and monitor infectious diseases. Our assays are designed to identify viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens from clinical samples quickly and reliably.
What EurobioPlex Is?
EurobioPlex includes real-time PCR (qPCR) and RT-PCR tests that we design and manufacture in-house. Many of our kits are CE-IVD marked, meaning they are approved for diagnostic use in Europe, and some are now receiving IVDR CE marking to meet updated European regulations. We also provide internal quality controls for DNA ou RNA to make sure extraction and amplification work properly.
Why Choose EurobioPlex?
Multiplexing: Many of our assays detect multiple pathogens in a single test, saving time and resources.
Regulatory Compliance: Our kits are CE-IVD and IVDR-marked for clinical use.
Quality Control: We include internal DNA/RNA controls to ensure reliable results.
Wide Pathogen Coverage: Our tests cover respiratory viruses, STIs, vector-borne pathogens, bacteria, and hepatitis viruses.
How does EurobioPlex FluABCoSyn detect Influenza A, B, RSV, and SARS-CoV-2?
Multiplex PCR Technology
We use multiplex PCR, which allows us to detect several pathogens at once. Our test uses specific primers for each virus, so we can identify multiple viruses in a single reaction.
Detection Process
- Sample Collection: We start with a respiratory sample, usually from a nasal swab, throat swab, or sputum.
- RNA Extraction: Since these viruses have RNA, we first extract RNA from the sample.
- Reverse Transcription (RT): RNA is converted into DNA (cDNA) using reverse transcriptase, so it can be amplified by PCR.
- Amplification: We use virus-specific primers to amplify the DNA:
- Influenza A & B: Primers target the hemagglutinin (HA) or neuraminidase (NA) genes.
- RSV: Primers target conserved regions like the N or G genes.
- SARS-CoV-2: Primers focus on the N (nucleocapsid) or S (spike) genes.
This process allows us to detect multiple respiratory viruses quickly and accurately in a single test.

What is EndoPredict and how does it help predict breast cancer recurrence in ER-positive, HER2-negative patients?
EndoPredict – Our Breast Cancer Risk Test
We offer EndoPredict, a genetic test that helps assess the risk of breast cancer coming back in patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. Our test supports doctors in making personalized treatment decisions.
How Our Test Works
We analyze 12 genes from a tumor sample that are involved in:
- Hormone receptor signaling
- Cell growth and division
- Tumor spread potential
- We combine this genetic information with clinical factors like tumor size and patient age to calculate a recurrence risk score.
What the Test Shows
- Low risk: Recurrence is unlikely. Patients may safely continue hormone therapy without chemotherapy.
- High risk: Recurrence is more likely. Doctors may consider chemotherapy or extended hormone therapy.
